Use of independent competent person to conduct a clearance following
licensed non-friable asbestos removal.
An Asbestos Removal Clearance Certificate as per government legislation is now requied. The ICP needs to attend the site once asbestos has been removed and visually inspect and take photos and then provide the Certificate once he is satisfied that the work has been correctly completed.
The law requires that works performed are independently tested by someone at arms length.
Arexion is licenced to provide an Asbestos Removal Clearance Certificate as per government legislation by our Director Michael Dumps. He will attend site once asbestos has been removed and visually inspect and take photos and then provide the Certificate once he is satisfied that the work has been correctly completed.
The Certificate Cost is $350 incl GST.
This includeds 30 minutes of traveling both ways so a total of 1 hour. On-Site inspection normally takes 30 minutes which is included in the price displayed. Mike attends works and will issue an Asbestos Removal Clearance Certificate.
The law requires that works performed are independently tested as such the contractor cannot issue an Asbestos Removal Clearance Certificate on there own work the clearance certificate must be conducted someone at arms length.

CPCCDE5001 Conduct Air Monitoring and Clearance Inspections for Asbestos Removal Work
Mike is classified as an Independent Competent Person under the legislation.

An Independent Competent Person (ICP) is an individual or an organisation who:

has sufficient skills, knowledge, experience and resources to undertake the safety verification in relation to which they are appointed;
-
has not borne such responsibility in relation to any of the matters that have to be considered in undertaking the safety verification that might compromise their objectivity; and
-
is sufficiently independent of a management system, or a part thereof, which has borne responsibility for any of the matters that have to be considered in undertaking the safety verification, to ensure that they will be objective in carrying out the safety verification for which they have been appointed.
